Champ

Background information

Champ was born approximately 15.09.18. Please don't ask "what breed is he?" because we simply don't know, so he is registered as a mixed breed. Champ's story is one of sadness and joy. He was rescued on the 19.12.18 when Lyn from FNQ Bush Dogs & Pups was notified of a sick puppy approx 6 to 8 weeks old with a smashed eye ball, resulting from a rock thrown at him by local kids. His eye socket was heavily infected and he was cowering in fear in a corner. Lyn took him to the police station where the owner was being held and he signed Champy over to Lyn for $20 : ( She took him immediately to the vet. His eye was cleaned up and he was placed on antibiotics for 2 weeks with the plan to remove his eye once the infection had settled. The vet stated Champ would have been like that for weeks because the swelling was huge. 2 weeks later his eye was removed and he came home to Lyn for care. Despite all the pain and fear, Champ still loves people who give him understanding and affection. He gets on really well with other dogs and puppies and is good with kids provided they don't blind side him. He would just love to be someone's full time companion especially if they love the water as much as he does. Wondering how to entertain Champy ? Just turn on the hose and give him a play pool or, take him down the creek for a swim and he'll be as happy as Larry. All his vetwork has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, worm and flea treatment. He is in foster care in Cairns so, If you're interested in adopting this lucky boy please email arcatd@hotmail.com. BIN 0000171254640
